Eliza Webber-Gebb: Indigenous Language-Speaking Migrants and Language Barriers to U.S. Asylum

On May 4, 2025, former VAAP intern and current contract paralegal Eliza Webber-Gebb published her research, Opinion: Inidgenous Language-Speaking Migrants and Language-Related Obstacles on the Path to Asylum under supervision of UVM Latin American Studies chair and VAAP Board member Professor Sarah Osten. Eliza’s research responds to frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding the services and gaps addressing language access needs of asylum-seeking migrant populations.
