Jill Brenner: Destabilizing El Salvador — A Case Study in U.S. Interventionism Gone Wrong

On May 5, 2025, student Jill Brenner (UVM’25) published her research, Destabilizing El Salvador: A Case Study in U.S. Internventionism Gone Wrong under supervision of UVM Latin American Studies chair and VAAP Board member Professor Sarah Osten. Jill’s research responds to frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding U.S. complicity in fostering the U.S./Mexico “border crisis” and considers immigration pathways as a form of restitution.
