Join VAAP at NWSCF: Supporting Immigrants in Detention

Every two weeks, VAAP staff and volunteers travel to the Northwest State Correctional Facility (NWSCF) to meet with individuals in ICE custody. These visits are a cornerstone of our detention defense work—providing crucial legal information, screenings, and support to people navigating immigration detention. We are actively seeking volunteer attorneys to accompany us. Your presence helps expand access to justice for those facing the most isolating and high-stakes circumstances. Even if you’re new to immigration law, we’ll equip you with guidance and resources so you can make an immediate impact.
